Philanthropy & Community Service

PHILANTHROPY AND COMMUNITY SERVICE IS A FAMILY AFFAIR FOR THE MORGANS. THE GOLDEN RULE FOUNDATION RECOGNIZES SHELLY MORGAN AS “COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR” AND COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY SERVICES, INC.  AS “CORPORATE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR!”

Orlando, FL – Longwood based, Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. (CES), was recently awarded “Corporate Volunteer of the Year” by The Golden Rule Foundation, for the company that works the hardest in helping The Golden Rule Foundation meet its community service goals.  Shelly Morgan was also recognized and awarded “Community Volunteer of the Year,” by The Golden Rule Foundation.  The Morgan’s and CES were recently recognized for these awards at the 8th Annual Community Leaders and State Schools of Character Event.  “Our corporate and personal commitment to giving back to our community and to those less fortunate truly is a family affair…it begins at home,” says Shelly Morgan, CES Shareholder.   Mrs. Morgan, also a recent a nominee for “Philanthropic of the Year,” acknowledges community service doesn’t just stay at home for the Morgan’s.

“We are fortunate in that our employees share our personal commitment,” states Mrs. Morgan, “charity is part of our core values that carry into the company culture which is why CES is a company of giving.”  Our employees responded with a tremendous turnout after a speaker from Camp Boggy Creek attended a staff meeting.  Twenty riders, all employees, participated in the Harley Ride for Camp Boggy Creek.  And several employees who could not ride, offered up their weeks’ vacation time to volunteer at the camp.

In addition, Shelly & Todd Morgan’s son, Michael Morgan, a 2008 graduate of Bishop Moore High, was recently awarded the prestigious “Jefferson Award” for his steadfast character and tireless community services efforts.  Now attending Auburn University, Michael continues his community service efforts, in Alabama as well as in Florida.

Along with consistent involvement in fundraising efforts for Florida Hospital, in more recent events, CES’s Annual Golf Tournament raised $22,000 for the Golden Rule Foundation aiding schools in building healthy character.  And for the holidays, CES employees joined in a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Christian Help Center and a massive toy drive for the Mending Hearts Charity.  Even down to the last detail, in December, the CES Annual Employee Holiday Party was catered by Meals – On – Wheels.

A statewide, recognized leader in Design-Build-Maintain Mechanical Contracting, CES provides a full range of commercial/industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing services, including; design, construction, service, controls, IAQ, refrigeration and maintenance.   National winner of the Mechanical Contractor of the Year Award, CES celebrates its sixteenth year in business and also has been ranked among the University of Florida’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in Florida.
